QUESTIONS ABOUT
THE ECO MAT

How is the Eco Mat good for the planet?   Why is the Eco Mat a good surface for
changing diapers?
The Eco Mat is made from a patented, man-made rubber material that is non-toxic, hypoallergenic and will naturally degrade. All good news for people and the planet.
Non-toxic: because it does not contain PVC, chlorides, phthalates, toluene or heavy metals.
Hypoallergenic: because it is latex free (latex is natural rubber)
Naturally degrades: leaving water and biodegradable elements (don’t worry – this process will not happen within the useful lifetime of your Eco Mat!)

The Eco Mat offers a comfortable, non-slip and waterproof surface for changing diapers virtually anywhere. Use it when you change baby’s diaper in the crib. Use it when you change your potty training preschooler on your powder room floor. For your peace of mind – use it as a hygienic barrier when you need to change diapers in a public washroom.

What are the overall dimensions of the Eco Mat?   What makes the Eco Mat hygienic?
The overall dimensions make the Eco Mat different from so many of the other change mats out there. With a generous 32” length, the mat will give coverage for diaper changes from infancy up to preschooler age.
16”wide X 32”long X 0.157” thickness
40.64cm wide X 81.28cm long X 4mm thickness

The Eco Mat is made from a “closed cell” waterproof material that does not absorb messes or liquids. It is very easy to clean - a thorough hand wash with soapy water – pat dry and the Eco Mat is ready for another use.

How is the Eco Mat recycled?   What Else Can I use my Eco Mat for?

Eco Mats are made from in-production “recycled” scraps. Off-cuts or scraps of the virgin material have been put back in to the manufacturing loop and are used to produce Thula’s 2nd Generation or “recycled” content mats.

We are sure that you will find the Eco Mat useful for more than just diaper changes…
use it for baby massage or during "tummy time"
mum can comfortably kneel on it beside the tub    while bathing baby
take it to the park to sit on when the grass is damp
use it as a kneel on while gardening
…Let us know what other uses you come up with for your Eco Mat...

QUESTIONS ABOUT
PUDDLE PADS

What is a Puddle Pad?   What is a Microfibre Puddle Pad?
Thula’s fabric Puddle Pads are designed to be placed under baby’s bottom while changing diapers on the Eco Mat. They are very soft next to baby’s skin and help to absorb/localize any messes. We offer them in Microfibre and Sherpa Organic Cotton.

Similar to the soaker pads in the high-tech cloth diapers on the market today – Thula’s absorbant poly/nylon Microfibre Puddle Pads will not readily stain or hold odours. Green Tip: Microfibre Puddle Pads will come out of your washing machine feeling merely damp to the touch and will very quickly air dry – so skip the heated dryer and hang them on your laundry line or drying rack to finish.

We are also proud to share that the Microfibre fabric is milled in the USA and is sewn here in Canada.

What is a Sherpa Organic Cotton Puddle Pad?
There are several cloth diaper brands on the market today that use a similar high-grade cotton for their absorbent soaker pads. For varying reasons, there many parents looking for exactly this type of fabrication -- unbleached, undyed and contains no finishing chemicals. Thula’s organic cotton has been brushed in to a fine Sherpa texture which makes it feel absolutely heavenly next to baby’s skin.

Thula is happy to share that this fabric is knit here in Canada using GOTS and/or SKAL certified organic yarns. The fabric is also cut down & sewn in to our Puddle Pads here in Canada.
